Owners of a unique home within a prominent Honolulu neighborhood have always felt there was a way to improve the face of their property upon entry. An existing second floor home-office was the key element to provide both an aesthetic and functional upgrade. Heavily utilized for up to 12 hours day, the home office provides the owner with not only a room to take calls, read, and write, but doubles as a place of solitude and refined enjoyment. The home’s unique appeal was achieved by designing a functional / contemporary balcony, timeless solid wood planter-box guardrail, double doors, lighting and improved structural supports.
