A non-profit WWII Veteran’s organization rooted in Hawaii’s rich Japanese-American cutlure requested aid in making critical improvements to a vacant apartment built in 1952. Grant-in-aid funds allotted for ADA improvements required converting the dated and space challenged studio / kitchen / bath into a fully accessible living unit Through client vision (100th Infantry Battalion Veterans Organization) and creativity, the high-value unit includes reconfigured space, upgraded finishes, and improved overall circulation for both disabled and able-bodied users.
